Slated for a Holiday 2026 release, this drop marks the second Kobe 10 Protro arrival following the “Halo” edition earlier in the year. Originally debuting in 2015, the “5 AM Flight” is rooted in the pre-dawn discipline that defined Kobe Bryant’s legendary recovery and training routine. By bringing back one of the line’s most meaningful colorways, Nike is bridging the gap between historical storytelling and modern performance technology.
The visual identity of the “5 AM Flight” remains true to the original 2015 release, centered on a striking Blue Lagoon engineered mesh upper. The clean, monochromatic base is accented by a prominent black Swoosh on the lateral side, while Kobe’s signature shield logo and signature on the tongue are highlighted in vibrant red. This specific shade of blue was inspired by Bryant’s 40-foot leap into a pool at 5:00 AM while recovering from his 2013 Achilles surgery, a moment that came to symbolize his “no excuses” mindset.
