Lebond Watches commemorates the centenary of Antoni Gaudí’s passing with the debut of the Lebond Attraction, a timepiece that translates the architect’s organic genius into horological form.
The watch draws its primary inspiration from the Hotel Attraction, a visionary but unbuilt 360-meter skyscraper designed by Gaudí in 1908 for New York City. As Barcelona prepares to serve as the UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture in 2026, this release honors Gaudí’s enduring legacy through a silhouette that mimics a pebble rounded by a stream — a direct nod to his passion for fluid, natural shapes.
The timepiece is engineered from sandblasted Grade 5 Titanium, ensuring a remarkably lightweight presence of just 33 grams. Its dial and rotating discs offer a brushed texture designed to represent a top-down view of the Hotel Attraction, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow on the wrist. An elegant onion crown balances delicacy with practical grip, while the exhibition caseback reveals the ETA 2892-A2 automatic caliber beneath a sapphire crystal printed with the original building plans.
Available in both Original (brushed silver) and Dark (brushed anthracite) editions via the brand’s website, the Lebond Attraction is priced at €2,400 EUR (approx. $2,814 USD), excluding taxes. For collectors seeking the ultimate tribute, Lebond also offers a hand-crafted exhibition case made from solid sapele wood. This 42cm tall sculptural case accurately reproduces the upper geometry and catenary curves of Gaudí’s skyscraper and is available for an additional €1,600 EUR (around $1,875 USD).
