Our Legacy WORK SHOP and Converse are coming together for a collaboration that elevates an iconic silhouette by embracing imperfection. The Work Shop Chuck 70 is a re-imagining of Converse’s most classic sneaker through a distinct lens that honors the human factor in design.
The release includes two versions of the Work Shop Chuck 70: a dark Espresso and an undyed Natural, both crafted from organic cotton canvas. In a nod to a previous collaboration, the shoe features a concealed Chuck Taylor patch on the medial interior, with a clean, embroidered Work Shop yin yang logo where the patch traditionally sits.
Jockum Hallin, the founder of Our Legacy and creative director of Our Legacy WORK SHOP, shared that the design was a deliberate tribute to classic sneakers, “We’ve created our dream Chuck 70’s by simply adding the human factor, leaning into the imperfections we admire from the Chuck Taylors made in the 1960’s-80’s. We brought back the uneven, hand-pulled foxing tape that comes up slightly higher, the irregular toe bumpers and the shorter toe caps, trying to highlight the beauty in those human made ”flaws” that occurred back then.”
The Our Legacy Work Shop Converse will launch on September 12 at online and on Converse and select retail partners including Our Legacy stores in London, Stockholm, Berlin, and Seoul, as well as Dover Street Market locations, London, Paris, NY, LA and Beijing.
