In a highly anticipated partnership, Japanese retailer JOURNAL STANDARD is once again teaming up with the exclusive-to-Japan line, The North Face Purple Label, for a special-edition Fall/Winter 2025 collection. This collaboration celebrates the brands’ shared vision of creating functional, stylish apparel that seamlessly transitions from urban environments to the great outdoors. The collection is set to be released in early September 2025.

The collection which arrives in brown, khaki and black iterations is a masterclass in subtle individuality and thoughtful design, reinterpreting classic military and workwear silhouettes from the 1990s with a modern, refined fit. Central to the line is the “65/35 Field Jacket,” an outerwear item exclusive to Journal Standard. It features a versatile stand collar with a stowable hood and drawcords for customizing the silhouette. This meticulous attention to detail is a hallmark of the collaboration, ensuring each piece is both functional and stylish.

The “65/35 Field Berkeley Jacket” is another standout item, crafted from the brand’s signature 65/35 Bayhead cloth fabric. This multi-functional jacket, with its utilitarian pockets, is designed to appeal to men’s sensibilities, offering a versatile piece that can be worn in both casual and more sophisticated settings.

Complementing the outerwear is the “65/35 Wide Tapered Field Pants,” which also boast multi-functional pockets and details tailored for men. They include dedicated pockets for item storage and loops for attaching key chains or carabiners. The waist features a tucked design, creating a relaxed, modern silhouette that’s easy to wear without a belt.

This special-edition collaboration is a perfect blend of The North Face Purple Label’s dedication to high-quality materials and technical design with JOURNAL STANDARD’s eye for contemporary style. The result is a collection that is as practical as it is fashionable, perfect for navigating the demands of city life and beyond. Look out for the collection online this September.
