ASICS has been dipping into the world of skate recently, with the introduction of its ASICS Skateboarding division just two years ago. Skate legend Gino Iannucci joined forces with ASICS Skateboarding in 2023 and is now aiding the brand in launching the Leggerezza FB. The model, which COMME des GARCONS HOMME DEUX quietly customized earlier this year, reinterprets ASICS’ Injector Arrezzo I, a football cleat from 1989. This is reflected in the shoe’s stitched toebox and retro-inspired upper. Iannucci’s two takes on the shoe are equipped with durable, double stitched leather uppers that combine with a padded tongue and breathable mesh. Subtle nods to Iannucci’s love for ice hockey are delivered with the waxed laces, side panels, and the unique collector’s shoe box. Circling back to the shoes themselves, the first pair combines navy with white while the second favors a crisp white with gold accents.
