dbrand Might Have Just Confirmed What the iPhone 17 Will Look Like
It’s new “Tank Case” seems to support the leaked design of the new phone’s cameras.
In December, dbrand released renders of a Switch 2 travel case – months before Nintendo had announced it – giving fans a glimpse of what the future console might look like. That tease turned out to be quite accurate.
Now, the Canadian brand has unveiled its latest product, the Tank Case – one of the first accessories announced by a major manufacturer for the upcoming iPhone 17 – that seems to confirm what some leaks suggest Apple’s new phone will look like.

Or, at least, what the back of the device will look like, which is said to feature a completely refreshed camera array design that has ditched the squircle housing (first seen with the iPhone 11 Pro in 2019) for a bar that extends horizontally across most of the phone’s rear. The purported new form was revealed earlier this summer on X when leaker Majin Bu posted two photos showing an “iPhone 17 Pro” in black. And while dbrand’s latest product announcement doesn’t really reveal much more than this, it’s safe to assume that Apple’s upcoming iPhone will feature a redesigned camera area on its rear.
We asked dbrand’s founder, Adam Ijaz, if the company created its cases with foreknowledge of the phone’s designs. His response? “It’s certainly not a guess.”
