Acura Showcases One-Off 'Avengers' NSX Roadster at Monterey Car Week

Acura is bringing a piece of Hollywood history to Monterey Car Week with the one-off NSX Roadster from Marvel’s The Avengers. Making its first public appearance in over a decade, the “Stark 33”-plated supercar will be showcased at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 15 as part of Acura’s 35th anniversary celebration for the original NSX. Built for the 2012 blockbuster, the roadster’s styling draws from the second-generation NSX Concept and was crafted by the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles under then–Creative Director Dave Marek, using a first-generation NSX as the foundation.
The movie car was hand-built by Trans FX in Oxnard, California, featuring a resin and fiberglass body, lowered suspension, 18-inch wheels and aftermarket seats, all fitted onto a well-used 1991 NSX with over 252,000 miles. Acura plans to auction the car for charity in 2026, with early interest sign-ups beginning at Monterey Car Week. Alongside the NSX Roadster, Acura will display standout NSX models—including a 1995 NSX-R and 1999 Zanardi Edition—as well as the all-new RSX Prototype, which previews the brand’s next-generation all-electric premium performance SUV.
