Update: We took a first look at yet another entry in the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low series last month, highlighting an FC Barcelona-themed colorway of the new Protro version of the AF1. Now, a complete set of images has been unveiled by the Swoosh, highlighting what to expect from the pair. As noted in our previous discussion below, a “Persian Violet” snakeskin-inspired upper hosts patent leather Swooshes in black that match the Kobe-branded heel, laces, and outsole. FC Barcelona’s crest is visible at the dubrae, tongue, and the drop-in ReactX insole. No release date has been hinted at yet, however, it’s likely to arrive soon via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.
Original Story: Fans of Kobe Bryant have been treated to a steady stream of Kobe-themed releases from Nike this year, and even those who aren’t looking to hoop have had their fair share of options as the Swoosh continues to offer various Kobe-themed Air Force 1 Lows.
Adding to the list is a new pair made in collaboration with FC Barcelona, one of the late legend’s favorite football clubs. It dons a “Persian Violet” snakeskin-inspired upper, combining it with black at the leather Swooshes, Kobe signature, heel tab, tongue, laces, and lining. The Sheath logo covers the heel while callouts to FC Barcelona are present at the tongue, dubrae, and sockliner.
At the time of writing, neither FC Barcelona nor Nike have indicated when this FC Barcelona x Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro colorway will be dropping.
