Just weeks after revealing its Ava Rover lifestyle model, Nike has returned to reveal another non-performance sneaker, the Nike Astra Ultra.
Set to launch this fall, the all-new women’s exclusive model lands right on trend with neighboring labels’ popular lifestyle silhouettes (like Bad Bunny’s adidas Ballerina collaboration and the Puma Speedcat). With the Astra Ultra’s release, it’s clear that Nike is attempting to appeal to a similar consumer and combat any former “lack of innovation” claims.
The low-cut design features a wavy upper design made from matte synthetic materials with molded leather sections, as well as a rugged outsole with a sharp traction pattern. Additionally, the model offers a taste of luxury with velvet shoelaces, which fit snugly inside an asymmetrical lacing system, and minimal branding (just a small Swoosh appears on the lateral side forefoot) lets the sneaker’s design speak for itself.
Nike has not yet announced the release date for the Astra Ultra, but the shoe is expected to hit the market this fall. The sneaker will be priced at $110 USD, and it’ll be available to shop on Nike’s webstore. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
