Standard Issue prides itself on no-nonsense, high-quality wardrobe staples, designed and manufactured in California. Though the brand’s most well-known products are its t-shirts and “Slacker” pants, Standard Issue offers a wide variety of items that range from sweatshorts and sweatpants to relaxed-fit cargos and light outerwear. This expansion of goods is on display in the brand’s latest full collection: “California Summer,” which was designed with balmy, laid-back afternoons in mind.
Key among the “California Summer” offerings are a trio of polo and short sets made of a lightweight linen blend. Available in “Sage,” “Kelp,” and “Beige” colorways, the sets offer a boxy, slightly-cropped fit with the shirts making use of a camp collar and the shorts a side-split hem and 5.5-inch inseam, while both add a touch of extra flair through blanket stitch detailing.
Other offerings present in the collection are a handful of graphic tees, carpenter pants, cargo pants with a fit similar to the popular Standard Issue x 18 East “Gorecki” cargo (named after Standard Issue co-founder Jimmy Gorecki) and short-sleeve thermal shirts. “This collection shows an awesome growth to Standard Issue’s foundation of clean basics,” said Gorecki.
