Amazon MGM Studios Reveals First Look Image at Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale in 'Madden'

Amazon MGM Studios has dropped a new first look image at Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale in the upcoming Madden film.

The upcoming football film is directed by David O. Russell from a script he wrote following legendary NFL coach John Madden. The film stars Cage as John Madden and Bale as Raiders owner Al Davis with John Mulaney as Trip Hawkins ( Electronic Arts founder who launched the perennial Madden video game), Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden and Sienna Miller as Carol Davis. The synopsis of Madden reads, “The film follows Madden’s remarkable journey–from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history.”

The biopic will follow Madden’s unusual journey from reaching a pinnacle of coaching with the Raiders to finding new purpose with EA. When Madded died in late 2021, EA Sports honored the legend by placing him on the cover of Madden NFL 23. Madden NFL 26 launches on August 14.
