  • The collection drops on May 16

Denim Tears has launched its “Sweet Corner” collection, inspired by designer Tremaine Emory‘s upbringing in Jamaica, Queens.

Taking design notes from his past experiences with local bodega during his youth, the collection reimagines a series of motifs synonymous with iconic bodegas around New York City. Specifically, Emory focused on highlighting bodegas like the Cee-Lo NY and Coin-Operated Horse. In a new set of updated palettes, the collection features a selection of Denim Tears staples including University Tees, mesh Shorts, Sweatpants and Zip Hoodies.

The campaign is lensed by Polo Silk, a legendary photographer who’s documented over three decades of Black New Orleans and the Hot Boyz’ formative years. Bringing the Sweet Corner collection to life, the collection drops on May 16 at 11 a.m. EST and Polo Silk will be at the store that day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET to take portraits of customers.
