Update: The New Balance ABZORB 2000 has brought newfound excitement to the American sportswear brand this year. Teased throughout Spring/Summer 2025, it finally debuted on shelves last week in its lead “Blue Agate” look. Now, as New Balance prepares additional colorways to launch, we have an official look at this “Blue/Grey” iteration that we previewed previously below. As noted before, it combines a light blue base with silver and grey detailing at the overlays. Release information has not yet been shared, however, it’s likely to arrive soon via New Balance and select retailers at a starting price of $170 USD.
Original Story: Following the first look at the New Balance 2000 ABZORB earlier this February which saw Sao Paolo-based stylist, Gustavo Soares share the retro-futuristic silhouette in a baby blue hue, another colorway has popped up online.
New Balance, which is expected to release the 2000 model later this year, gives the shoe an updated look that merges the early-2000s running shoe aesthetic with contemporary inspirations. Featuring a streamlined upper silhouette with a breathable mesh upper, paired with synthetic overlays, this new colorway arrives in a light blue upper that contrasts the all-over gradient grey tones. The added silver touches that hit the eyelets, overlays and the full-length ABZORB cushioning system, give the shoe a more futuristic look, matching the grey tints on the insole and “N” branding.
