Summary

  • Louis Vuitton hosted a three-day fine dining event in Bangkok with chefs Gaggan Anand and Yosuke Suga
  • The 12-course menu featured a blend of Japanese-French and progressive Indian dishes using seasonal Thai ingredients
  • Highlights included Hokkaido potato with caviar, blue lobster with morel, and a curry course merging Japanese and Indian styles

UPDATE: We recently had the chance to try the exclusive menu for ourselves, notably, it brought together refined French-Japanese minimalism and bold Indian-Thai flavors in a multi-course dining experience. Signature dishes from Chef Suga included blue lobster with green asparagus and morel, and Hokkaido tomato paired with Kegani crab and Thai basil. Both known for ending their meals with a curry course, the chefs blended their traditions by pairing Japanese and basmati rice to create a cross-cultural take on curry.

For dessert, Thai pastry chef Dej Kewkacha introduced original creations like a savory combination of jasmine, cacao juice, and caviar. The meal concluded with a fusion of kanom kai and French madeleine, as well as a refreshing dessert featuring konatsu citrus from Kyushu, gin granita and Thai coconut milk. The collaborative menu highlighted seasonal ingredients and cultural contrasts, offering diners an inventive, one-off experience at the intersection of heritage and haute cuisine. Original Story (April 9, 2025): Louis Vuitton is bringing haute cuisine to new heights with an exclusive three-day culinary collaboration between world-renowned chefs Gaggan Anand and Yosuke Suga. From May 8 to 10, Bangkok’s Gaggan at Louis Vuitton will host an intimate gastronomic pop-up that blends the bold flavors of Anand’s progressive Indian cuisine with the refined precision of Suga’s French-Japanese culinary artistry.

Anand, whose Bangkok restaurants recently ranked #1, #31 and #99 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, is known for his genre-defying dishes that fuse molecular gastronomy with Thai and Japanese influences. Joining him is Chef Suga of Tokyo’s prestigious Sugalabo and SUGALABO V by Louis Vuitton, celebrated for his meticulous technique and French culinary roots honed under Joël Robuchon.

This unique dining journey, set within the elegant setting of Louis Vuitton’s Bangkok outpost at Gaysorn Village, embodies the Maison’s commitment to creativity and excellence across disciplines — from fashion and art to fine dining.

The tasting menu is priced at ฿15,000++ THB (approximately $430 USD) per guest, with limited reservations available at the time of writing. Interested guests can secure their seats through Gaggan at Louis Vuitton’s official site.
