Crocs Is Embracing Its Inner Ballerina

While best known for its Classic Clogs and the many whimsical ways the shoe has been customized, Crocs has steadily expanded its fashion-oriented efforts with models like the Quick Trail Low and collaborative partners such as ROA. Most recently, last month saw Crocs officially introduce the Crocs EXP line, which is centered around three core concepts: express, experiment, and expand. The Crocs EXP umbrella is responsible for bringing forth stylish models like the Trailbreak 2 via not only Crocs, but specialty boutiques as well, elevating the brand’s presence in the space.
For its latest move, Crocs’ Ryan Forsyth — the senior global product manager for collaborations and special projects — has unveiled the Terre. Rooted in the brand’s DNA with references to archival models like 2007’s Crocs Celeste, the Terre merges heritage with contemporary styling by presenting it through the lens of ballet footwear, an approach in the space that continues to be explored by brands in new ways. Presented in two colorways of “Silver/Chalk” and “Gunmetal/Black,” the Terre utilizes Literide foam that minimizes weight while maximizing comfort. Its layered structure is fastened via Velcro strap as tonal Crocs wordmarks appear at the lateral forefoot, heel, and adventure-ready outsole.
Look out for the Crocs EXP Terre to drop in both colorways on April 17 via Crocs and select retailers at a starting price of $95 USD and stay tuned for updates as more colorways arrive later this year.
