After kicking off a global festival tour, The Marías have lifted the veil on some new music.

The group announced they’d be dropping a new single “Back to Me,” but surprised fans by instead dropping off a two-pack with “Nobody New” added as the second track.

“We wrote ‘Nobody New’ a couple years ago after we finished Submarine,” the group explained of the first track on Instagram. “Consider it one of the Submarine B-sides, still a part of that world.”

“‘Back to Me’ was written a couple of months later while we were jamming in the studio as a band. The guys were experimenting with some new synth sounds and chords. I immediately went into the vocal booth, and the melody and lyrics came out faster than any other song, almost as if the song wrote itself. After finishing it, it felt like the beginning of a new era beyond Submarine. consider it an introduction to a new world.”

Stream “Back To Me / Nobody New” – out on Spotify, Apple Music and all DSPs now.
