Name: Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0”
Colorway: White/Sport Royal/Challenge Red/Black
SKU: IB1482-100
MSRP: $200 USD
Release Date: May 17
Where to Buy: Nike

Update: In a surprising turn of events, a new “Seoul 2.0” take on the Air Jordan 3 is dropping this month. Unlike most coveted Air Jordan releases, this pair was not rumored in advance, rather, images of it leaked back in March. We’ve since discussed various previews offered — all of which you can revisit below for a complete breakdown — and now Nike has offered its official images of the kicks, revealing that the patriotic pair comes in thematic packaging. Release is now confirmed to be taking place globally on May 17 via Nike SNKRS at a price of $200 USD. Before that, Kasina will be selling pairs exclusively to students in South Korea and Korean-owned boutique Sesinko will also be hosting an early launch in New York City, with both special releases scheduled for May 10.

Update: It’s nearly time for the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” to hit retail shelves and Nike Seoul has offered another preview at what to expect from the patriotic pair. As described in our initial breakdown below, it sees a white leather upper feature the South Korean flag at the left shoe’s tongue while being accented by its red and blue. “꿈” is visible at the right shoe’s interior side of the tongue, which translates to “dream” in English. Nike Air branding in black is also included, appearing at the heel of both shoes. According to Korean media outlet Le Syndrome, Kasina will offer early pairs on May 10 with a wider release scheduled for May 17 at a starting price of $200 USD. Stay tuned for more details regarding this launch, including whether it will be made available stateside.

Update: We first previewed the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” last month and now, thanks to J-Hope, we have another look at the sneaker. The BTS member pulled up to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors last night — a showdown that saw LeBron James and Steph Curry put up monster numbers. J-Hope wore the new “Seoul 2.0” colorway, offering a better idea of what to expect from it. The upper seems to favor more of an off-white finish rather than white while the South Korean flag is visible at only the left shoe’s tongue. Release is still set for May 15 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD so stay tuned for more images of the kicks.

Original Story: Today marks seven years since the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” first hit shelves. The sought-after colorway released in celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the South Korean capital’s hosting of the Summer Olympics and now fetches thousands of dollars on the secondhand market. Jordan Brand went on to revisit the design in 2020, releasing it in a limited range of women’s sizes. Now, it looks to be making a return with a new “Seoul 2.0” colorway arriving later this year.

Teased here for the first time, this new “Seoul 2.0” take on the Air Jordan 3 puts an aged twist on the sneaker. Its white sole unit has noticeably yellowed and now carries a gray outsole while the elephant print mudguard and heel counter has shifted from black-on-gray to two shades of gray. Nike Air heel branding returns in black while the red and blue collar features an adjusted texture. We remain without a complete look at the sneaker, so it is unknown as to whether it again features the Hangeul detailing at the interior tags of the tongue, however, it does feature the South Korean flag on the tongue of at least one shoe once again.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not officially shared any launch details regarding this new “Seoul 2.0” colorway of the Air Jordan 3. Stay tuned for updates, including a complete set of imagery featuring the kicks, as we currently expect it to arrive on shelves via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $200 USD on May 15.
