Rich Brian has returned. The 88rising musician has made his first move since the release of his 2022 EP Brightside, arriving in the form of a new single entitled “Little Ray Of Light,” which is just the beginning of his new era.

“Little Ray Of Light” marks the first single from Rich Brain’s forthcoming studio album WHERE IS MY HEAD?, which is confirmed to drop at the end of May. The song marks a significant sonic shift for the 88rising artist, who pivots into analog instrumentation and focuses on flexing his singing voice – something he’s shied away from spotlighting in past releases.

The new single arrives alongside its accompanying music video, which sees Brian leading a string section as a nod to his involvement in the music video’s creative direction with Jared Hogan.

Will the rest of his third studio album continue the exploration into new sonic territory? Or is it just a statement-making return to the scene after three years of silence? Only time will tell.

Stream “Little Ray Of Light” on all DSPs now and expect WHERE IS MY HEAD? to drop everywhere on Friday, May 23. Stay tuned as more information on the album becomes available.
