Notes: Nike is modernizing its Air Rift silhouette with the unveiling of its “Black Mesh” iteration, an updated version of its 2016 counterpart. A synthetic base and breathable mesh overlays make up the uppers to give it a utilitarian look, while the tabi-like middle split toebox adds a contrasting stylish touch. Branding can be spotted sparsely across the shoe in forms of minimal embroidery and debossed insignias. Black lands on the midsole and outsole, which provide comfortable and long-wear use similar to that of barefoot running, while a dual strapping and velcro system across the midfoot and heel ensure a snug fit.
