Continuing its exploration of Hollywood’s complexities, Paly has delivered the first drop of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Through juxtaposing the glamour and allure of fame with the fallout and those who defy conventional norms, this collection showcases the brand’s distinctive craftsmanship. From outerwear, knitwear, fleeces, shirts, tees, bottoms to headwear and accessories, the range implements hand-done embroidery, elements inspired by James Franco’s original artwork as well as a mix of DIY-inspired techniques.
Spotlighted pieces include the Cassavettes Bomber Jacket, which pays homage to the independent filmmaker, John Cassavetes, with its JC varsity patches — a clever interplay between his initials and religious symbolism. Meanwhile, pieces like the Lana Land Crewneck take inspiration from the darker chapters of Hollywood’s past.
The collection also highlights the My Own Private Rodney Hooded Sweatshirt and Memorial Tee, honoring Rodney Harvey, whose career was tragically cut short, echoing the themes of loss in My Own Private Idaho — a film that has long been the key influence on Franco’s artistry.
