Originally appearing in the 1890s and gaining popularity in the 1920s, the Levi’s Lot 201 Jean and Lot 213 Jacket (also known as “No. 2”) began as a less expensive, durable alternative for workers who shopped at a lower price point in comparison to the now iconic 501 jeans. The No. 2 models represented the brand’s dedication to providing for all economic backgrounds. Now, in the 21st century, Levi’s Vintage Clothing will be producing a limited edition re-release of the line.

Designed as faithful reproductions of the initial models, both the Lot 201 Jean and Lot 213 Jacket have been recreated in Japan with intense attention to detail, including original Japanese Shrink-To-Fit™ selvedge denim and period correct details. Cinch buckles, branded donut buttons, exposed copper rivets, and a distinct blue line hark directly back to the pieces’ original dedication to quality craftsmanship. The jacket also features the iconic cloth “Two Horse” patch, returning the clothing to an antique era.

Each style will be limited to an 800-piece run priced at $495. The line will be globally available for purchase on March 27th on Levi.com as well as at Levi’s stores and select global retailers. Check out the pieces in the gallery above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates.
