Update: We caught another look at Action Bronson’s latest take on the New Balance 990v6 last week and the multi-hyphenate has gone on to officially present the new campaign. Arriving via the MADE in USA line, this “Citizen of the World” colorway is set to drop later this week. As noted in our previous discussions below, the pair features white, red, pink, yellow, gray, and black detailing and serves as the duo’s fourth 990v6 drop. Look out for it to initially launch via Bronson’s SpecializingInLife platform on April 4 at a price of $220 USD and stay tuned for New Balance’s launch details.

Update: New Balance teamed up with Action Bronson for the first time in 2023 and have showed no signs of slowing down since. The two closed out 2024 with the Baklava performance collection, featuring the M10 Minimus Trail and FuelCell Rebel V4 alongside complementary apparel. On top of this, we’ve been treated to previews of more Bronson-designed takes on the 990v6, the model he began his partnership with by reworking it into three different colorways two years ago. One pair involved is this “Hi-Pink/Royal Blue” iteration that we initially discussed below. A new in-hand shot of the sneaker highlights the shoe and is accompanied by word of an anticipated release date set for April 25 via New Balance at a starting price of $220 USD.

Original Story: Action Bronson debuted his sneaker partnership with New Balance last year by outfitting the 990v6 in not just one colorway, but three bold arrangements. Having launched just months prior, the 990v6 built much momentum off of Bronson’s looks and continues to serve as a go-to for New Balance’s various seasonal collections.

Looking ahead to 2025, it looks like the duo will be returning to the sneaker as Bronson has teased another colorway after unveiling projects involving the Minimus Trail and FuelCell Rebel v4. In our brief preview of the kicks, Bronson makes it apparent that he’s committed to delivering colorful arrangements as this pair combines pink, red, blue, black, gray, off-white and white throughout its layered build. Baklava branding returns to the gray tongue tag in red to top things off too.
At the time of writing, neither Action Bronson nor New Balance have shared when this “Hi-Pink/Royal Blue” colorway of the 990v6 will be dropping.
