TDR Keeps Storytelling at the Core of Its SS25 Collection
Combining textiles sourced from Japan’s historic mills with deadstock Laurel studs.

TDR is a brand that prides itself on quality. The imprint operates by combining textiles sourced from Japan’s historic mills — including vegan leathers and cashmere denim — with deadstock Laurel studs. Meanwhile, its approach to design continues to innovate with new aesthetics and color codes, and this has been encapsulated more than ever in its latest collection.
The latest collection from TDR features a plethora of denim-heavy styles that pay tribute to the workwear era of the 1950s, a time attributed to “unusual mends” and obscure seams inflicted by hand. Additionally, TDR’s approach with its latest capsule welcomes the arrival of top-down ray fading, the premise of fading textile as though it’s been worn in the field, “well used, loved and abused.”
For Spring/Summer 2025, TDR’s purpose wasn’t to design garments that look new at the first wear. The brand has adopted stories shared by each reference piece, showcasing legitimate vintage wear. Each piece in the capsule is considered an “independent collection” in its own right, void of messaging or any set direction.
Meanwhile, the garments feature deadstock, no-longer-available laurel studs, and a short-sleeve, more seasonally-appropriate version of last season’s fan-favorite Noragi jacket.
