Since its debut in 1979, the Piaget Polo watch has been a beacon in the watchmaking world, embodying the sport-chic aesthetic with its all-gold build. The model has continued to evolve, featuring a masterful skeleton movement in 2021 and an ultra-thin perpetual calendar in 2023. For 2025, the reference returns to the forefront of watchmaking innovation by combining a flying tourbillon with an astronomical moonphase display, all while donning Piaget‘s iconic blue color.

The Piaget Polo Flying Tourbillon Moonphase is not just a visual marvel but also a technical achievement. With an overall thickness of 9.8 mm, it’s driven by the ultra-thin  642P in-house movement, measuring only 4 mm thick. This timepiece features a 44 mm-diameter titanium case in a mix of polished and satin-brushed finishings. The rehaut and crown insert are doused in blue PVD, creating a tonal aesthetic with the dial and signature gadroons.

Drawing on its legacy as a creator of intricate calibers, Piaget has produced a new version of its 600P. The hand-wound 642P maintains the ultra-thin architecture and the flying tourbillon with a finely crafted tourbillon cage. The featured moonphase mechanism is a testament to Piaget’s technical precision. The relative speeds of the Earth and its satellite mean their cycles are slightly out of sync, but the Maison’s expertise ensures it would take 122 years to accumulate a single day’s difference between the display and the actual night sky. This misalignment can be easily corrected using the moon display adjuster at 9 o’clock.

In line with the timepiece’s color scheme, the accompanying rubber strap arrives in a matching blue hue and is interchangeable. An additional crocskin leather strap is also available in a complimenting colorway. For more information, visit Piaget’s official website.
