Offered in three color options, the VL 45 Radiohus Portable Lamp is crafted with the concept of creating ambiance wherever you take it. Inspired by Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen’s VL 45 Radiohus Pendant from the late 1930s, its design amalgamates its predecessor’s timeless charm with modern functionality.

The VL 45 Radiohus Portable Lamp retains the luxurious look and feel of the original pendant, featuring the same shades and brass details. However, this version includes a brass base and a leather strap instead of a cord, making it the first Vilhelm Lauritzen lamp designed for outdoor use.  Versatile and rain-resistant, the lamp provides a pleasant atmosphere in gardens or on balconies for up to five hours continuously.

Inside, the VL 45 Radiohus Portable Lamp seamlessly complements other Vilhelm Lauritzen designs and is easy to carry from room to room. Its soft, non-glaring 360-degree illumination makes it ideal for living rooms, children’s rooms, and bedrooms. Additionally, it enhances home décor and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in restaurants and hotels, making it a versatile addition to any space.

Crafted from shiny, mouth-blown, multi-layered glass with a glossy-white interior, the lamp’s brass details – coming in hairline and lacquered finishes – will not patinate over time. The lamp features discreet technology for enhanced usability, allowing users to dim the light in steps or smoothly by touching the brass part on top of the lamp. This functionality is useful for synchronizing brightness levels across multiple lamps or setting the brightness manually.
