G-SHOCK's New GW5000HS Heritage Series Pays Tribute to Its First-Ever Watch
Coming in two monochromatic colorways.
G-SHOCK has launched its GW5000HS Heritage Series, the latest evolution and direct descendant of the DW-5000C, which was the brand’s inaugural model from the ‘80s.
The series presents two references, the GW5000HS-1 and the GW5000HS-7, both embodying the same uncompromising toughness of their source inspiration and introduced in fresh, monochromatic colorways.
Both watches pay homage to the original with modern twists, incorporating elements such as the signature brick pattern, the iconic “SHOCK RESIST” logo as well as the classic mode and feature indicators. These elements, coupled with the metal case and screw-lock caseback, breathe new life into the original design while preserving its legacy.
Equipped with 200 meters of water resistance, radio-controlled timekeeping and a full-auto LED backlight, the GW5000HS Heritage Series stands as a testament to G-SHOCK’s enduring legacy, while incorporating bio-based resin bezel and band showcases the brand’s conscious-approach to reducing environmental impact.
The GW5000HS Heritage Series is available for purchase through G-SHOCK, each retailing at $300 USD.
