Bon Iver Reveals 'SABLE, fABLE' Lead Single

After announcing his first album in six (!!) years will be dropping in April, Bon Iver has lifted the veil on the album’s lead single. With visual contributions from John Wilson, “Everything Is Peaceful Love” arrives as the first glimpse of the imminent LP.

“‘Everything Is Peaceful Love’ gives me what I want for this album, all in one video,” Justin Vernon said in an official statement. “The idea that happiness and joy are the highest form and the true buoyancy of survival, and even taking yourself less seriously could heal the world.”

Wilson, the song’s featured artist, was in charge of the direction and editing of the track’s accompanying music video. “I knew what kind of record I wanted to make the day we made ‘Everything Is Peaceful Love.’ I always knew that would be the feeling I wanted to share first,” Vernon continued. “I wanted the video to just be people smiling uncontainably. Luckily, Eric Timothy Carlson suggested getting in touch with Wilson. Simply the most poignant and hilarious program in all of Television. We were extremely fortunate that John liked the idea. He went out, shot a bunch of fun stuff, and edited it all to the song.” Stream it below.

The track lands at number six on the 13-track SABLE, fABLE, with the SABLE, tracklist and another track entitled “Short Story” holding down tracks 1 – 5. Other titles include “Day One” with Dijon and Flock of Dimes, “Walk Home” and “I’ll Be There.”
