MARKET Teams With Sherwood Hockey on Second Collab Capsule
With Toronto Maple Leafs superstar William Nylander fronting the range and MARKET’s iconic bear acting as the mascot.
MARKET has long tapped into the sports sphere, linking up with professional leagues, teams and brands from all across the sporting space. The Mike Cherman-helmed imprint is once again teaming up with Canadian hockey brand Sherwood Hockey to deliver a second collaborative capsule of graphic apparel, accessories and hockey gear.
The collaboration is a natural fit, as Cherman played hockey growing up and still has an admiration for the game. “Growing up as a hockey player – primarily playing roller hockey in front of my house with kids in my neighborhood – I always loved the lore of the sport, the physicality and the game itself,” Cherman said in a statement. “Through this collection, we brought out our iconic bear in each nation’s colors and reimagined each country as a character mascot.”
The new MARKET x Sherwood Hockey range follows up the duo’s initial 2024 collaboration and comes complete with three graphic t-shirt styles, two hoodies and a dad cap on the apparel front, and a Canadian-made custom Sherwood hockey stick and puck.
“When the sport of hockey is brought to the Global stage, it’s an opportune time to showcase our unique position within the game,” says Brendon Arnold, Sherwood’s AVP, who tapped Sherwood Hockey athlete and Toronto Maple Leafs star William Nylander to star in the lookbook. “Leveraging international hockey as the platform, we wanted to bring a different flavor to the sport with our friends at Market by creating a unique collection that showcases the lighter side of hockey between the countries.”
