Aimé Leon Dore Drops SS25 Lookbook
Filled with American sportswear and international athletic wear, ALD gives a preview of new styles before tomorrow’s collection release.
Athleticism is in for Aimé Leon Dore’s SS25 collection. The lookbook features over 50 styles, including a beachy terry cloth ensemble, a nautical GORE-TEX Coast Guard jacket, and a new array of its iconic NY Yankee designs.
While the overall collection remains true to the brand’s polished-preppy ethos, SS25 also highlights some sporty ensembles, such as a one-piece Porsche racing suit which serves as a continuation from their initial collaboration, the Porsche 993 Turbo Capsule, last fall. The Vanson Distressed Leather Moto Jacket features Champion and X-RAY patches reminiscent of iconic NASCAR and F1 gear. In other looks, racing-style long-sleeve shirts are paired with cyclist compression shorts, retro mesh fingerless biker gloves, and an exaggerated wide-brim athletic hat.
The collection wouldn’t be complete without its fun takes on traditional suiting. On the more traditionally sartorial side, a red quarter zip and matching beret add a pop of color to a tailored blue corduroy suit; meanwhile, white pinstripes are complemented by a subtle NY Yankees bucket hat for a monotone look. Denim on Denim is elevated by a toggle clasp jacket underneath a navy trench, and mesh shirts provide leave room for a springtime breeze underneath a lightweight polka dot jacket.
