NBA All-Star Weekend isn’t just about the game, celebrity sightings, and high-profile events—it’s also a major moment for sneaker culture. Fans don’t just tune in to watch their favorite athletes compete; they’re also on the lookout for the latest sneaker debuts and on-court heat.

This year, adidas seized the spotlight, using the weekend to showcase its highly anticipated releases, celebrate the legacy of the adidas Superstar, and highlight the latest from its adidas Basketball roster. With immersive brand activations, exclusive experiences, and a star-studded party in San Francisco, the Three Stripes reinforced its influence at the intersection of basketball, streetwear, and culture.

A central focus of the weekend was the adidas Superstar, a silhouette that has transcended sports to become a global streetwear staple. To honor its legacy, adidas created interactive spaces where fans could explore the shoe’s history while getting a first look at upcoming styles.

One of the most exciting activations took place at Foot Locker, where adidas set up Anthony Edwards’ “Peach World,” giving fans a unique way to engage with the brand. The experience paid homage to Edwards’ recent ad campaigns, bringing his signature energy and personality to life through interactive elements. Attendees participated in a lie detector test to put their sneaker knowledge to the test and captured moments with a hanging-on-the-rim photo experience. The space also showcased the latest Anthony Edwards 1 sneakers alongside the athlete’s favorite Superstar drops. On Saturday, Edwards made a special appearance at “Peach World,” interacting with fans, joining the festivities, and demonstrating how he continues to elevate adidas Basketball on and off the court.

Meanwhile, a dedicated adidas brand hub provided an exclusive setting where select guests got a first look at the latest Superstar models and adidas Basketball releases. The showcase featured signature kicks from James Harden (Harden Vol. 9), Damian Lillard (Dame 9), Donovan Mitchell (DON 7), and Anthony Edwards Lows, along with retro styles from past adidas-sponsored players. Among the highlights was our conversation with adidas athlete Gradey Dick, who made his All-Star debut in the Rising Stars matchup representing the Toronto Raptors.

“I’ve been with adidas since college,” the 21-year-old shared. “I have relationships here that are dear to me, so having the love and support from the people at adidas means a lot. I’m just grateful to be here.” When asked about the Superstar model, Dick reflected on its significance, saying, “When I put on a Superstar, it’s kind of a reminder that I made it. Especially with the Rising Stars game—it allows me to remember why I play. It’s a symbol of my hard work paying off.”

The official adidas hub not only honored the Superstar’s deep roots in basketball and hip-hop but also highlighted its lasting influence on modern fashion. The space featured past collaborations with renowned brands like NEIGHBORHOOD, BAPE, Willy Chavarria, CLOT, and more, further reinforcing the Superstar’s impact on both sports and streetwear culture.

The weekend’s festivities reached their peak with an unforgettable party hosted by adidas athlete Damian Lillard. The event brought together some of the biggest names in basketball and entertainment, including Anthony Edwards, James Harden, GloRilla, Murdabeatz, Saweetie, Candace Parker, and NBA legend Tracy McGrady. More than just a night of music and celebration, the party paid tribute to the adidas Superstar’s cultural legacy.

In honor of his homecoming, Bay Area native Damian Lillard was presented with a special edition A-TYPE adidas Superstar—an elevated take on the classic silhouette that merges adidas’ deep heritage with modern sophistication. The event perfectly captured the fusion of basketball culture and high fashion, reinforcing adidas’ ability to bridge the worlds of sports and style.

The festivities culminated in the NBA All-Star Game, where the league’s top players put on a show for fans worldwide. Shaq’s OGs team took home the win, featuring adidas athletes James Harden and Damian Lillard, who hit the court in their respective signature shoes.

With a weekend full of exclusive product drops, high-energy activations, and an all-star guest list, adidas made its presence felt in a major way. By celebrating both the legacy and the future of the Superstar and its basketball roster, the brand showcased its continued dedication to innovation, style, and culture. From interactive experiences to exclusive previews of upcoming releases, adidas once again proved why it remains a dominant force in the game.
