Golf Wang has revealed a new collaboration with the A24 feature film Marty Supreme. Designed by Tyler Okonma (better known as Tyler, the Creator), the range fuses the streetwear label’s contemporary aesthetic with the movie’s 1950s setting with retro silhouettes and Marty Supreme graphic references.
The multihyphenate artist’s collaboration joins in on fast-moving ripples of the high-profile movie. The Josh Safdie-directed feature starring Timothée Chalamet has already made a splash in the fashion industry; on one hand, due to Chalamet’s adventurous style, but also because of the viral “Marty Supreme Jacket” made by Nahmias for the film’s promotion. However, Golf Wang’s take is a more expansive collection.
The collection dives into the ’50s era with period styles and Golf Wang classics like printed camp collar tops. Standing out it a newspaper print featuring Chalamet’s face repeating beneath a pink Marty Supreme word mark. For major Chalamet fans, another t-shirt places the actor’s colored portrait front and center, while a more discreet blouson with a small Marty Supreme patch is ideal for a pared-back wardrobe. Elsewhere, a bowling shirt features vintage table-tennis embroideries and a classic varsity jacket references the film’s “Rockwell Ink,” in dual colorways.
The Golf Wang x Marty Supreme collection is set for release on December 19 at the Golf Wang app, webstore, and physical locations.
