Ever since its debut at France’s famous Courchevel altiport back in March, Moncler’s Grenoble offering for the Fall/Winter 2025 season, many winter sport enthusiasts have been eager to see just how well the premium range of performance gear holds up on the slopes. The Hypebeast team hit the ground running to one of the closest mountains to New York City (just about 130 miles outside Manhattan, to Belleayre Mountain) to test out three of the winterized collection’s coveted snow-sport sets.

Hypebeast team members Courtney Kenefick, Kyle Reyes, and Luke Roberts each donned a full set from the Grenoble drop: the Yunque Denim Down, Marguns GORE-TEX, and Valserine GORE-TEX Laminate Patchwork. Each offering from the extensive range – epitomized in the three selected sets – is properly suited for the elements, equipped with fine-tuned technical features ranging from the inclusion of PrimaLoft® Gold Active for heat insulation and the usage of DERMIZAX DX to ensure wind blockage and weather protection.

Crafted entirely from authentic Japanese denim sourced straight from Kojima, the women’s Denim Down is fully waterproof and marks one of the most striking styles in the entire FW25 range. Built with a breathable two-layer construction, Polyester lining, and down-filled body, the jacket prioritizes not only performance but also optimized thermoregulation.

As for the Marguns GORE-TEX, the sleek silhouette melds a shirt jacket shape with high-performance fabrics – and, of course, a windproof GORE-TEX laminate. Water-reflective zippers, a powder-skirt, and a RECCO® reflector (which makes the wearer searchable to organized rescue teams) round it all out.

Last but not least, the Valserine GORE-TEX Laminate Patchwork takes on a shell structure and is defined by its intarsia design. Water-resistant zippers and a protective hood (adjustable, complete with a visor as well) keep the elements out, and heat-sealed seams keep the warmth in. A RECCO® reflector is stamped on the design as well.
