Update: It’s been nearly nine months since we first discussed the possibility of Jordan Brand bringing back the Air Jordan 9 “Flint Grey” for the first time. Now, we finally have an initial preview of the pair. As expected, it combines a white leather upper with “Flint Grey” and “French Blue” notes throughout, recreating the 2002 look. The shoe is now expected to release on January 24, 2026 at an adjusted price point of $215 USD via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

Original Story: Jordan Brand just brought back the Air Jordan 9 in its “Cool Grey” colorway from 2002 earlier this month. While the model continues to enjoy a spot in the label’s lifestyle rotation, a new report from sneaker insiders zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files has indicated that another colorway from 2002 is dropping soon.
Rumor has it that the Air Jordan 9 “Flint Grey” will be arriving on shelves again next year. The throwback look has never been re-released and while we remain without an initial preview of what to expect from its 2026 version, we expect it to carry all of its original details. These elements include a white leather upper that is complemented by a “Flint Grey” mudguard, as well as “French Blue” accents at the tongue, Jumpman branding, heel branding, and lace loops.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed that the “Flint Grey” version of the Air Jordan 9 will be releasing next year.
