Original Story: Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are officially releasing Pokémon Pokopia for the Switch 2 on March 5, 2026.

The upcoming game, which will receive a trailer later in the week, is described by Engadget as “a life sim game in the vein of Animal Crossing.” Players will take on the role of a Ditto who turns into a human, and other Pokémon will help you with new abilities, events in the community and more.

Pokémon Pokopia was first announced by Nintendo during their September Direct event, but no additional details were unveiled. The only relevant information revealed was that the cartridge will be a Game Key Card that allows players to download the game; no game data is saved on the key card.

Stay tuned for an official trailer. Pokémon Pokopia drops March 5, 2026 for the Switch 2.
