Virgil Abloh Archive has partnered with Paris Saint-Germain in a collaboration aimed at creating opportunities for young people and giving back to the community.
The partnership began with a special program for students aged 11 to 15 involved in PSG youth initiatives. These students participated in workshops at “Virgil Abloh: The Codes,” an exhibition dedicated to the late designer, where they customized PSG shirts and footballs to honor Virgil’s mission of fostering access and opportunities for young people’s creativity.
To further this mission, a limited-edition PSG T-shirt, designed by the Virgil Abloh Archive, has been released. The T-shirt is inspired by PSG’s 2024-26 away uniform and Virgil’s designs, featuring a lynx (PSG’s official mascot) in the style of a traditional U.S. sporting emblem. Additionally, the phrase “Away From Home” is written on the shirt, acknowledging the American designer’s creative heritage in Paris. “This partnership with PSG is deeply significant because it reflects everything Virgil believed in: community, creativity, and encouraging young people to dream bigger and build their own future,” said Shannon Abloh, founder and president of the Virgil Abloh Foundation and president and chair of the Virgil Abloh Archive, in a statement. This Virgil Abloh Archive x PSG collaboration serves as a heartfelt tribute to Virgil Abloh’s mission, ensuring his legacy lives on.
The shirt is currently available at PSG’s online store. Starting Monday, it will also be available for purchase in official PSG shops and at the Colette pop-up in the Grand Palais until the end of the “Virgil Abloh: The Codes” exhibition. All the shirt’s sales will proceed through the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund and the Virgil Abloh Foundation to support the PSG’s École Rouge & Bleu program for young people.
