Copenhagen-based label Tekla made its name with high-quality bed linens and pajamas, but the brand has gradually expanded its universe through unexpected collaborations and product lines. With its new scented candles, not only can you sleep well with Tekla, but you can also smell good too.
Tekla teamed up with renowned Irish ceramic artist Sara Flynn to create three unique, refillable fragrances: Vasta, Kōdō, and Flore. Each candle comes in an unconventional ceramic vessel designed by Flynn, characterized by dimpled contours and fluid forms. Vasta evokes a verdant forest, giving off a woody aroma with notes of eucalyptus, akin to the atmosphere of a wood-fired sauna. Next, Kōdō is a dynamic blend of sweet and spiced woody notes, giving the impression of rich incense burning in a temple. Lastly, Flore is a fresh, floral scent: bright and citrusy with a touch of bergamot (picture a sunny afternoon in a golden meadow).
The candles are priced at $350 USD, with refills available for $105 USD, keeping in mind Tekla’s focus on longevity. The collection is available now at Tekla’s Copenhagen store, online at teklafabrics.com, and at a special pop-up shop in Paris. The Paris pop-up, located at 44 Rue Sainte-Anne, is open to the public from September 29th to October 5th.
