Piaget and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts continue their partnership with the unveiling of a new collaborative timepiece: the Andy Warhol Watch “Collage” Limited Edition. This new wrist offering translates Warhol’s Polaroid collage sensibility into wearable haute horlogerie, marking a significant step after the Maison officially named the contemporary expression of his favored watch the “Andy Warhol Watch” in 2024.
The collage dial is a remarkable work of art, executed in a meticulous marquetry of colorful ornamental gemstones that are arranged into an abstract form. The base of the dial is black onyx, a tribute to the color of Warhol’s own 1973 watch. Complementing this are thin slices of ornamental stones: yellow Namibian serpentine, pink opal and green chrysoprase. This choice of color aligns with the focus agreed upon by the collaborators, drawing on the bright, eye-catching tropes found across Warhol’s portfolio.
Housed in a stepped 45mm 18‑carat yellow gold case, which is a deliberate homage to Warhol’s own 1973 cushion watch, the “Collage” edition is paired with a rich green leather strap and an 18‑carat yellow gold caseback finished with vertical satin brushing. The caseback carries an engraved rendition of the self‑portrait that inspired the dial, along with Piaget’s logo and Andy Warhol’s signature, underscoring the piece’s collectible intent and close ties to the artist’s legacy.
Beneath the artistic surface, the watch is powered by Piaget’s in‑house 501P1 self‑winding caliber, a slim movement offering a 40‑hour power reserve and decorated with circular Côtes de Genève stripes. Limited to just 50 examples worldwide, the Andy Warhol Watch “Collage” Limited Edition has a price tag of $ 78,000 USD (tax not included) and is available for inquiry via Piaget.
