Customization shop Carlex Design has unveiled the breathtaking Himalaya Diamond, a one-of-a-kind bespoke Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen that redefines automotive luxury with a price tag of $1.7 million USD. The vehicle’s staggering cost is anchored by its most audacious feature: a revolutionary paint job infused with genuine diamond dust.
The unique metallic paint gives the G-Wagen an unprecedented shimmer and depth, transforming the already imposing SUV into a rolling art piece that captures and refracts light unlike any other vehicle on the road. This bespoke finish required a specialized process to ensure the diamond particles were seamlessly integrated into the clear coat, making the “Himalaya Diamond” moniker literal.
Carlex Design, known for pushing the limits of automotive refinement, ensured the interior matches the exterior’s opulence. The cabin is completely overhauled with premium leather and exotic materials, transforming the rugged off-roader into a highly exclusive, hand-finished sanctuary.
This one-off car began as a custom project but has become a statement on extreme wealth and personalized artistry. By using real diamond dust in the paint, Carlex has created a G-Wagen that stands as the ultimate symbol of individualized, non-replicable luxury.
