A Bold and Confident CELINE Rises Under Michael Rider
The American designer continues to define a new era with preppy silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and unapologetic structure.
After his debut in July, American designer Michael Rider offered another glimpse into his vision for CELINE. Presenting his sophomore collection at Paris Fashion Week, Rider unveiled a bold and self-assured CELINE ready to reclaim the runway. In the wake of Hedi Slimane’s departure last year, Rider imagined a fresh start for the house — one defined by preppy silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and unapologetic structure.
Spring/Summer 2026 continues the story he began, a study in refined craftsmanship and smart bursts of color. The 59-look collection transitions effortlessly between seasons, softly blending men’s and womenswear codes into one fluid conversation. Fringed and patterned dresses opened the show, followed by double-breasted power suiting styled with tinted shirts and rainbow-hued bucket bags.
Draped dresses, split rugby tops, and bedazzled numbers exuded quiet confidence, while two-toned trench coats, extravagant belts, and CELINE-branded motorcycle helmets sped off into the Parisian sunset. Drenched in opulence and attitude, Michael Rider marks the dawn of a luxurious new era at CELINE.
