Puma partners with Japanese designer Fumito Ganryu again for their second collaboration, unveiling two reimagined models of the Mostro XC silhouette. These designs were first showcased at a joint event held by Puma during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2025.
The collaboration’s central theme is duality, brought to life in a campaign film featuring actor Masaru Kasamatsu. The film tells “a story from youthful rebellion to mature control,” expressing the tension between impulse and control, and movement and stillness.
Reflecting this theme, both Mostro XC models are presented in a monochromatic triple black colorway. The Mostro XC 3D features an extreme platform sole crafted using ALIVEFORM 3D printing technology, offering an eye-catching stack height. Another striking detail is the stippled upper, complementing the spiked outsole. In contrast, the Mostro XC stays closer to its original silhouette. The key transformations include a pull closure and a tight mesh upper, giving it a sleek yet low-profile appearance.
The Fumito Ganryu x Puma Mostro XC collection is now available on Fumito Ganryu’s official online store, followed by a wider release on October 11 at Puma JP.
