Backbone has announced a major collaboration with Kojima Productions to release a limited-edition Death Stranding 2 controller. This release, built on the PlayStation Edition of the Backbone One, marks the company’s first-ever limited-edition controller collaboration with PlayStation.

Inspired by Sam Porter Bridges, the game’s protagonist, this limited-edition controller embodies the resilience and exploration at the heart of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Its design draws from the distinct colors of Sam’s world and the Drawbridge organization, resulting in a controller crafted to support any challenging journey.

Each unit is presented in a rugged, numbered, and collectible case designed exclusively for this edition, which also includes a commemorative collector’s tag. This packaging ensures the controller is protected while also serving as a display-worthy keepsake that reflects the Death Stranding universe.

The controller also maintains its versatility across other platforms, working with cloud gaming services like Apple Arcade, GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna and PC, allowing users to play a wide range of other titles anywhere from their iPhone or Android using PlayStation Remote Play.

Only 1,350 units are made, the Death Stranding 2 Backbone One controller is priced just under $160 USD and will be available worldwide via Backbone and Kojima Productions‘ webstores starting November 6.
