Balenciaga has introduced its latest footwear offering, the Balenciaga City Sneaker, which masterfully merges two of the brand’s most emblematic codes: the moto-inflected “Le City” bag and the house’s storied history in athletic-inspired statement footwear. This shoe is a soft, slim-fitting design featuring a thin, tone-on-tone sole, resulting in a look that is both sporty and expressive for easy styling.
The sneaker’s upper is expertly crafted in Le City’s signature arena lambskin, known for its distinct crackled texture and shiny finish. This material choice directly showcases the artisanal savoir-faire synonymous with Balenciaga. The design expands upon the iconic Le City Bag with flat-top, conical zinc alloy studs adorning the shoe. Two of these studs appear on each side and two at the front, mirroring the bag’s double-studded small front panel.
