For the Faraz Zaidi-helmed FOUND, sartorial influence is everywhere. While FOUND’s last drop lifted inspiration from the football pitch, marking the latest chapter in the label’s Sport series, Fall/Winter 2025 signals a return to form and focus on craftsmanship – specifically strategies used by artisans in South Asia.

Entitled “Memory, Motif, Motion,” FOUND’s new seasonal presentation posits South Asian tradition and technique through the lens of contemporary Americana, painting a portrait of true sartorial duality.

“The collection mirrors the duality embedded in FOUND’s DNA, creating a harmony through what can be perceived as the friction of opposing cultures comprising a first generation identity,” Zaidi explains in a press release, with garments created as “cultural memory-keepers.”

Staple outerwear and workwear silhouettes are revamped through the work of Pakistani artisans: meticulous layering of embroidery, sequin work, ornamental beads, and mirror embellishments. Aged cowhide and distressed trench coats land alongside fur vests and tapestry carpenter pants, paint-treated corduroys, and leather cargos. Daded by time and wear, a washed-out color palette of burnt reds and browns further evokes the collection’s historical undertone.

“This manifests in garments that begin with enzyme- washed fabrics designed to evoke timeworn durability are then adorned with metallic embellishments that catch light and beautify surface. The result is a collection of styles that feel at once in decay and development- serving as a metaphor for the waning and waxing of the immigrant experience, the constant shedding and growing of new skin. Each piece tells a story that’s as much about where it’s from as where it’s headed.”

Sportswear still holds strong, taking shape of nylon track jackets and embroidered cotton jerseys, with design influence plucked directly from international football culture.
