Jordan Adetunji Defines His Sound on 'A Jaguar's Dream'
An expansive 10-track offering with contributions coming from Bryson Tiller, Lil Baby, kwn and Kehlani.
Jordan Adetunji showed us just what he was capable of in 2024, with his breakout ode “KEHLANI” quickly bringing the Belfast-based musician into the limelight. Now, on his sophomore studio offering, Adetunji has shown us the byproduct of stepping into his full potential: a compelling compilation of R&B, Hip-Hop and Afrobeats reflective of the 25-year-old’s expansive artistry and Nigerian and U.K. background.
Recorded between Belfast, London and Los Angeles, A Jaguar’s Dream spans ten tracks – each of which is an immersive soundscape of its own built by stirring studio production.
“KEHLANI” opens the album, with the track’s official remix (featuring Kehlani herself) closing it out at track ten. Previously released singles “Too Many Women” with kwn and “Options” with Lil Baby arrive as tracks two and nine, respectively, with “305” featuring Bryson Tiller marking another high point on the exhilarating 24-minute delivery.
“Miami has always been a city that I’ve wanted to visit, so this song was a manifestation of that,” explained Adetunji in a statement – “manifestation” marking a prominent theme throughout the album, also seen in the album’s title. “Lyrically it discusses falling in love with someone who lives in a foreign city with a completely different lifestyle. Bryson is a big inspiration to me and we got the chance to hang out before we even recorded the song. I played him some of my music and he gravitated towards this track. It’s crazy because we shot the video in Miami so it was a full circle moment.”
