UNDERCOVER Pre-Fall 2025 Pitches Mod Revival
Presenting a line that echoes the 90s “Mod Revival” and flavors of Jun Takahashi’s punk rock roots.
Days after unveiling a neon-lit Krautrock-inspired FW25 collection, UNDERCOVER has presented its Pre-Fall 2025 men’s collection with a pared-back range that leans onto Jun Takahashi’s more discrete facets with flavors of the 90s Mod Revival.
Traditional menswear color palettes of black, brown, gray, and navy characterize core garments including oversized parkas and trenches, bomber jackets, dress shirts, and two-piece suit sets. Pants are offered in various fits ranging from wide-legged formal trousers to skinny jeans. However, it’s the accessories and embellishments that provide Takahahi’s signature subcultural edge to the collection.
An oversized tan overcoat and a brown suit jacket are decorated with rectangular brass chains and razor-like broaches at the collar. Elsewhere, an olive green hooded parka, a military jacket, and a long white button-up boast a combination of patches and pins reading statements like “You don’t know me.”
Standing out from the outerwear lineup is a burgundy collared zip jacket styled complementarily with a light blue beret, a headwear staple found across the collection.
In knitwear, a range of argyle diamond sweaters and cardigans add to the collection’s light punk sensibilities, while solid knits made from brushed wool have a more gentle grunge appeal. Pieces including a hairy yellow-green cardigan with silver safety pins and a red cardigan with brass zipper accents provide bold contrast to the neutral essentials.
