FKA twigs Invites Us Into 'EUSEXUA'
The dance-inspired delivery is more than just a body of work; it’s a full-body feeling.

When FKA twigs announced EUSEXUA – her first full-length studio release since 2022 mixtape CAPRISONGS – she described the album title (a hybrid of “sex” and “euphoria”) as “a practice, a state of being [and] the pinnacle of human experience.” Now that EUSEXUA is here at last, we can officially say that twigs put it best in her description; spanning 11 dance-inspired tracks, EUSEXUA is far beyond just a body of work, rather, it’s a feeling – and it’s a full-body one.
Inspired by her love of techno music, something she found herself incredibly drawn to during her time overseas in Prague, the album builds on the energy twigs felt at warehouse raves and underground DJ sets and spins it through her own distinct creative lens. Each song is a “eusexua” of its own, moving between synths and strings but all held together by twigs’ ethereal vocals.
The ever-so-enigmatic twigs carries a majority of the immersive LP, with features coming from Koreless on “Drums of Death” and North West, with her second official studio credit, on “Childlike Things.” Pre-released singles “Eusexua” – on which twigs sets the stage for the album – and “Perfect Stranger” both mark high points on the stirring and surrealist soundscape, arriving as the first and third tracks, respectively. “Girl Feels Good,” track number two, serves as a hedonistic, high-octane anthem while sultry cut “Striptease” slows things down toward the end.
Marking her first album in sex years, EUSEXUA encapsulates the entirety of twigs’ artistry. Stream the album – out everywhere now.
