BMW Reveals First-Ever M3 CS Touring

BMW has introduced the first-ever BMW M3 CS Touring, a limited-edition high-performance wagon that combines track-inspired engineering with everyday versatility. Debuting at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit during the Bathurst 12-Hour race, this special model elevates the M3 Touring formula with increased power, aggressive weight-saving measures and exclusive design elements.

Under the hood, the M3 CS Touring houses a 3L twin-turbo inline-six engine producing 550 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, it sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph. Performance is further enhanced by a reinforced crankcase, forged lightweight crankshaft and model-specific chassis tuning.

Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components — seen on the hood, front splitter, mirror caps and rear diffuser — contribute to a 15 kg weight reduction over the standard M3 Competition Touring. Exclusive M Carbon bucket seats and a lightweight center console complete the track-focused interior, while a titanium rear silencer sharpens the car’s aggressive exhaust note.

Visually, the M3 CS Touring stands out with a frameless kidney grille, yellow GT-style headlights and striking color options, including British Racing Green and Laguna Seca Blue. The model rides on forged 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with track-ready tires.

While the exact number hasn’t been shared at the time of writing, BMW has noted that production will be limited. Deliveries for the new CS are expected to begin in March across Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
