Form Meets Function in UNIQLO U FW24
In a collection entitled “Lightness in Protection,” layering lays the groundwork for the new range of sleek, simplistic silhouettes.

Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran‘s UNIQLO U knows how to connect form with function and fashion its line of “Future LifeWear Essentials.” For its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, the label is doing just that yet again, through the lens of the collection’s “Lightness in Protection” name.
Stacked with a bunch of sleek silhouettes, “Lightness in Protection” prioritizes layering, offering up a range of lightweight yet easily layer-able pieces that move with you as you move. Designed with “daily motion and future classics” at the forefront, garments remain rather minimalistic in form and come doused in neutral shades of chocolate browns, khaki and taupe.

Standout pieces include lengthy trench coats, distinguished single-breasted jacketing and Pufftech parks, all of which allow for draped button-downs and twill shirting to be worn underneath. Knitwear is also a heavy-hitter, consisting of turtlenecks, zip-ups and the Lamsbwool Knitted Jacket. Pullover hoodies and pleated pants also stand out among the cohesive collection.
