Instagram mood board turned global streetwear brand HIDDEN.NY is partnering with Tokyo-based NEEDLES again for a capsule that will launch exclusively at the NEPENTHES Tokyo store. The range is laden with HIDDEN.NY’s signature green shades, haphazardly overlapping logos, and early-internet-inspired graphics.

The new collection comprises classic NEEDLES styles like patchworked Cut t-shirts, retro tracksuits, mohair cardigans, and active parachute pants. HIDDEN.NY makes a loud appearance across the line, with its bold circle monogram screen printed on the back of tops, embroidered into sweater sleeves, and knitted into new HIDDEN.NY intarsia socks – a staple product for the NY-based brand.

The label’s identity is also closely tied to the spectrum of green hues used across the collection, including a crewneck tee in a shade reminiscent of the “invisible” green paint used on scaffolding in New York City. On the back of the shirt, a hi-vis orange HIDDEN.NY monogram is transposed with a digitally glitched NEEDLES butterfly icon. Alongside the recurring overlapped wordmarks, a new HIDDEN.NY x NEEDLES graphic features a pixelated illustration of a hand reaching for a mid-air butterfly.

Recent collections from HIDDEN.NY like the “Discover a New World” collection that dropped last Summer, also contain echoes of early desktop interface design. The early digital aesthetics are a common and fitting theme for HIDDEN.NY, which finds its roots in the internet itself and boasts the tagline “Past, Present, and Future” regularly.

The full collection will be available on September 27 exclusively at NEPENTHES TOKYO, where REBUILD BY NEEDLES will also offer one-of-a-kind pieces made from reconstructed releases from the HIDDEN.NY archive.
