Hodinkee and Zenith Launch Limited-Edition Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
A tribute to a rare prototype El Primero from the 1970s.
Zenith is joining forces with Hodinkee again to put a collaborative spin on another of its celebrated references. Marking the duo’s third timepiece, the model that’s receiving the spotlight this time is the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar.
Encased in finely brushed and polished stainless steel, the 38mm wristwatch serves as a tribute to a rare 1970 prototype El Primero and is described by Hodinkee as “a stunning juxtaposition between past and present, slow and fast, old and new.” Its dial, though classic and simple from afar, reveals incredible details up close. Emanating a subtly glittering effect, the subdials are crafted from meteorites, creating a nuanced yet bold contrast against its black base.
Just like any other Zenith reference, this special edition timekeeper proudly wears its mechanical caliber on its open caseback. Its beating heart, the 3610 Manufacture caliber, provides 60 hours of continuous running time and powers all of the watch’s functions, spanning the day, date, month, moon phase and a chronograph that measures to1/10th of a second.
Limited to 200 units and priced at $13,500 USD, the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee. The first 75 numbered editions are sold through the Hodinkee Shop, while the remaining units are shoppable via Zenith’s website.
